Kandi Burruss' fiance AJ murdered tonight in Atlanta

The Atlanta P.D has confirmed that Kandi Buress's ex fiance AJ (you've seen him on Real Housewives of Atlanta) has in fact killed at Atlanta strip club Body Tap which is he part owner of. It's being said his own friend hit him in the head. He was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He leaves behind 6 kids, two of which are in Kandi's custody.

So, watching the video of Derrion Albert getting killed on the street got me thinking….Are our young Black men an "endangered species"? I’ve heard that before. But now that I’m a mother, it takes on a whole new meaning. And if that’s the case, who or what, is the cause of the downfall? Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that question.

A lot of people woke up the day after the election and saw that, their problems were the same. And with the rise of unemployment, and the cost of everything going up, and the staggering number of single mothers, we’re seeing the end result. Our kids are pissed off and frustrated. Momma is working 2 and 3 jobs, struggling to keep it together, and kids are left on their own. This isn’t a new problem. We know this. But the fact that this took place, in Chicago, says a lot. But then again, crime in Chicago is nothing new. Before, or after the election.

I’m a mom now. My daughter is two. No parent ever wants to get the call that Derrion’s mom, and countless other mothers have gotten. My father is a forensic pathologist for the city of Philadelphia (another high crime city), and murder is such a real problem in our community. Do we know who started the fight? Does it matter? I know what I saw on the tape. When you’re in that rage, it’s all, emotional. You just wanna fight the closest thing to you. And most of the time, it’s someone who looks just like you. And guess what? They’re going through the same thing you’re going through. I feel like, we, as a society, put so much pressure on women in general. Especially, BLACK and HISPANIC women. But when it comes to single mothers, are we doing enough? I don’t know if Derrion’s mom was a single mom, but I know the numbers. Are we doing enough??

Is Derrion going to be the “Neda” to the plight of the young black man in America? The countless other “Derrions” have gone unnoticed. When do we do our part? And what exactly does that entail? I don’t know. But while we continue to blog about the latest “Phat Ass” or latest “Celeb Jump Off” more and more mothers are getting that call.

I want to commend Nas for blogging about this. Maybe now it’s time for more "Black Celebrity Men" to do the same. I know a lot of them reach out and give back. Probably more than we know.

But is it time to do more? And should it be their responsibility? I don’t know. But I do know, if you’re the parent of a teenage black or brown male, you can use all of the help you can get, making sure your child makes it to adulthood. Yes, this is America. Obama is in office. We tell our kids, they can be whatever they want to be with hard work, and determination. We tell our kids, they can make anything happen. We tell our kids they can solve all of the world’s problems. Maybe it’s time, our kids start telling us the same thing.

On Saturday night while Gwen Stefani was at a concert in Singapore,her £4 million London mansion was smashed open by thieves.The thieves broke into the flat that Stefani rented out to Dame Elizabeth Forgan, head of the Arts Council.
Some jewelery were missing and the front door badly damaged.Despite the door being badly damaged, no one noticed for another 12 hours until a passer-by raised the alarm and flagged down a police car. The Burglars tried to reach the top floor of the mansion that Gwen's Husband and kids live but the were unable to get in.

R&B singer Lloyd has stepped out on Murder Inc recently but that hasn’t stopped him from throwing shade on fellow Atlien Ciara. According to a recent interview in Hip Hop Weekly, he and Ciara were high school friends but are no longer in contact because he feels she has changed:

'Family' Matters Jaimee Foxworth: My BF Dragged Me Through Glass

Jaimee Foxworth -- who briefly played "Judy Winslow" on "Family Matters" -- was just granted a temporary restraining order against her longtime boyfriend after he allegedly did some horrible things to her.

According to the docs, filed in LA County Superior Court, Foxworth claims Michael Shaw physically and verbally abused her ... and at one point grabbed her arm and dragged her along the floor through broken glass.

On another occasion, as Jaimee was feeding her son in the backseat of a car, she claims Shaw "pulled the car over, jumped into the backseat ... tried to push [Jaimee] out of his car, and threatened to drive [her] son away."

The judge granted the TRO the same day the papers were filed -- Shaw has to stay 100 yards away from both her and the kid.

Jamie tells TMZ she "strongly encourages all women to leave unhealthy relationships before it is too late."

Things got heated at the Beyonce in Singapore concert and NOT in a good way!

Beyonce was performing at the F1 Rocks concert in Singapore over the weekend and had ordered her entourage to get her the largest dressing area backstage.

However, Lindsay – who was hosting the event for British TV network Channel 4 – had ALREADY claimed the room for herself as she arrived before and was left upset when she was told she would have to vacate it.

Lindsay told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve been a bit down. It was a strange night. Everyone was being aggressive and bothering me. I really didn’t like it.”

In the lead up to her performance, Beyonce made her support acts sweat as she wouldn’t allow them to use her air conditioning.

Although temperatures backstage approached 90 degrees and people were passing out, Beyonce’s entourage refused to switch on her personal air cooling fans as they were just for her.

British DJ Seb Fontaine – who suffered heatstroke – told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “We were told, ‘No they are Beyonce’s fans.’ I wasn’t asking to play her drum kit on stage. I just wanted to keep cool.”

In her 139-page rider, Beyonce also demanded six beauty chambers, fitness equipment, an authentic fruit platter and tea and honey.

Yesutrday 50 Cent was rushed to the hospital:

This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe's new album, "J.O.S.E. 2" when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 pm.

Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.

Lil Boosie Has Been Sentenced To 2 Years

It is what it is yall:

Lil Boosie plead guilty yesterday to drug and weapons charges and is expected to receive a 10-year sentence but will only have to serve the first 2 behind bars.
"I'm ready to get this behind me," Boosie told the judge Tuesday, after pleading guilty.
Sentencing is set for November 9th. After being released, Boosie will be on probation for two to five years.

It happened back in October 2008, when police found a bag of marijuana, a blunt, and a gun in a vehicle he was driving.

He was charged with third-offense possession of marijuana, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, which carries a mandatory minimum five-year term.

The firearm charge will be dropped after he completes his prison term and probation.

People may have advocated… government intervention in terms of supervising things and making sure that we all are operating under a fair and equitable system. But I don’t recall anybody, and I do mean anybody, that has ever walked into the black community and advocated a government takeover of anything! We may all need assistance, but a takeover is an entirely different situation altogether, and I’m extremely uncomfortable with it and I’m even more uncomfortable with the fact that race has become a part of the discussion.

Yes I know Amy Winehouse isn’t someone that I would normally blog about however, when you are acting a damn fool, I feel that it needs to be brought to the attention of others. On September 21, 2009 Amy Winehouse thought it would be ok to take punishing a youngster into how own hands when word got back to her that her goddaughters was being bullied at school. Instead of taking the matter up with those officials in charge, it seems Amy stormed into Southgate school in Barnet, North London, to confront the kids concerned.

The altercation then turned nasty when the Back to Black singer reportedly began hurling abuse at the young accused bully and spitting at her.

And Amy's tirade did not stop there. Witnesses report the 26-year-old former drug addict then went on to shout at a group of students before the brawl was finally broken up by a concerned bystander.

Then what did Winehouse do? Sign some autographs for waiting fans, of course.
