It turns out that last spring Kirstie publicly let it be known that she wanted to see how foxy Jamie really was, and Jamie publicly admitted and he was digging him some Kirstie. So, watching the video of Derrion Albert getting killed on the street got me thinking….Are our young Black men an "endangered species"? I’ve heard that before. But now that I’m a mother, it takes on a whole new meaning. And if that’s the case, who or what, is the cause of the downfall? Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that question.

A lot of people woke up the day after the election and saw that, their problems were the same. And with the rise of unemployment, and the cost of everything going up, and the staggering number of single mothers, we’re seeing the end result. Our kids are pissed off and frustrated. Momma is working 2 and 3 jobs, struggling to keep it together, and kids are left on their own. This isn’t a new problem. We know this. But the fact that this took place, in Chicago, says a lot. But then again, crime in Chicago is nothing new. Before, or after the election.

I’m a mom now. My daughter is two. No parent ever wants to get the call that Derrion’s mom, and countless other mothers have gotten. My father is a forensic pathologist for the city of Philadelphia (another high crime city), and murder is such a real problem in our community. Do we know who started the fight? Does it matter? I know what I saw on the tape. When you’re in that rage, it’s all, emotional. You just wanna fight the closest thing to you. And most of the time, it’s someone who looks just like you. And guess what? They’re going through the same thing you’re going through. I feel like, we, as a society, put so much pressure on women in general. Especially, BLACK and HISPANIC women. But when it comes to single mothers, are we doing enough? I don’t know if Derrion’s mom was a single mom, but I know the numbers. Are we doing enough??

Is Derrion going to be the “Neda” to the plight of the young black man in America? The countless other “Derrions” have gone unnoticed. When do we do our part? And what exactly does that entail? I don’t know. But while we continue to blog about the latest “Phat Ass” or latest “Celeb Jump Off” more and more mothers are getting that call.

I want to commend Nas for blogging about this. Maybe now it’s time for more "Black Celebrity Men" to do the same. I know a lot of them reach out and give back. Probably more than we know.

But is it time to do more? And should it be their responsibility? I don’t know. But I do know, if you’re the parent of a teenage black or brown male, you can use all of the help you can get, making sure your child makes it to adulthood. Yes, this is America. Obama is in office. We tell our kids, they can be whatever they want to be with hard work, and determination. We tell our kids, they can make anything happen. We tell our kids they can solve all of the world’s problems. Maybe it’s time, our kids start telling us the same thing.

Some jewelery were missing and the front door badly damaged.Despite the door being badly damaged, no one noticed for another 12 hours until a passer-by raised the alarm and flagged down a police car. The Burglars tried to reach the top floor of the mansion that Gwen's Husband and kids live but the were unable to get in.

'Family' Matters Jaimee Foxworth: My BF Dragged Me Through Glass

Jaimee Foxworth -- who briefly played "Judy Winslow" on "Family Matters" -- was just granted a temporary restraining order against her longtime boyfriend after he allegedly did some horrible things to her.

According to the docs, filed in LA County Superior Court, Foxworth claims Michael Shaw physically and verbally abused her ... and at one point grabbed her arm and dragged her along the floor through broken glass.

On another occasion, as Jaimee was feeding her son in the backseat of a car, she claims Shaw "pulled the car over, jumped into the backseat ... tried to push [Jaimee] out of his car, and threatened to drive [her] son away."

The judge granted the TRO the same day the papers were filed -- Shaw has to stay 100 yards away from both her and the kid.

Derrion Albert's Mother Speaks

Shortly after a fight near Fenger High School, Albert said her son's principal called her at her home in Mount Vernon and told her to come immediately.

“They said he was trying to help another student and kind of got mixed in with the crowd of the fight and he was hit,” Albert said.

Albert said she moved here briefly last year to take care of her mother. She brought along Derrion and her 11-year-old daughter

Beyonce was performing at the F1 Rocks concert in Singapore over the weekend and had ordered her entourage to get her the largest dressing area backstage.

50 Rushed To The Hospital

Yesutrday 50 Cent was rushed to the hospital:

This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe's new album, "J.O.S.E. 2" when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 pm.

Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.

Lamar Odom And Khloe Kardashian Are Finally Married

NBA star Lamar Odom tied the knot with Khloe Kardashian this weekend, but his children with ex Liza Morales were kept from the ceremony by their mother.

Morales denies reports that she had a "meltdown" when news of Odom's impending marriage broke, but admits to TMZ that she's had to put on a "brave face" for her kids. "Yes, the circumstances over the last few weeks have been upsetting but none of my actions publicly or from the privacy of my home could be classified as a meltdown. I have maintained a brave face for my children who are my main concern and I remain strong for them."

Liza continues, saying that she has "the support of my family and friends and Lamar's family have been nothing but supportive of me and the kids during this difficult time. I wish Lamar nothing but happiness we all deserve to be happy."

TMZ also reports that Odom and Kardashian decided to tie the knot on Sunday so that one of Khloe's reality shows could film the ceremony for the upcoming season. The production company is reportedly footing the $1 million bill for the ceremony.

So it turns out that back in July theybf.com got an e-mail from a very popular black women’s magazine [who they are keeping anonymous, hell if I care as long as we get the story I’m happy :) ]. It turns out that they was going to do the first story on this whole messy love triangle however they soon saw that this was a whole lot more complicated than they thought it was. Here is the e-mail that they received and it shows a whole new light on the story, and makes it a lot messier but of course we love messy:

They are NOT divorced Tasha. They’ve only been to court once for temporary support. Alicia just doesn’t care or respect the way that this works. Mashonda has been avoiding interviews for a while now. I’ve been following her on twitter and she seems to be at peace with the situation. However Swizz and Keys still think it’s cool to be committing adultery. Ms. Humanitarian is actually letting this married man live in her Long Island home. I work for [publication removed] and we have been dying to get an interview, only from Mashonda. We reached out to Mashonda’s people. She won’t talk until the divorce is over. She did promise us the whole story. She says it’s important that it’s done in a very positive way though. She wants to empower women that went through what she did. They are no where near divorced and you know as well as I do that this is one dirty story for Ms Keys. She’s just not as righteous as she wants us to believe.

I’m loving the way that Jay-Z explains his Blueprint Trilogy, you have to be pretty slow not to understand it because he brakes it down very well. The first Blueprint was the Blueprint that shaped his life as he puts it, it was based on soul samples that influenced him growing up. When it came to the second Blueprint it was more like a “teenager that had ADD that’s why it was like a double album, it was all over the place” because he’s influenced by all kinds of music, and if you ask me there’s nothing wrong with that. When you think about it most albums have a basis on what they are about but sometimes, you have so much going on in your life that you can’t help but have all kinds of music on one album, I mean that’s what life is really like when you think about it, it’s all over the place. As for the third Blueprint he almost didn’t even do it because he didn’t really see a point or the need, but he always wanted to do three, however he didn’t have the subject. Well as we all know he did make the third one and his approach to it was more on the lines of making music with a classic approach even thought your still “new and relevant but your talking about adult matters”. You gotta love Jay-Z, if you didn’t like Jay-Z before his third Blueprint [like me] you will now. This album alone has made me a Jay-Z fan, and I love it. Keep up the good work Jay-Z!!!

Lil Boosie Has Been Sentenced To 2 Years

It is what it is yall:

Lil Boosie plead guilty yesterday to drug and weapons charges and is expected to receive a 10-year sentence but will only have to serve the first 2 behind bars.
"I'm ready to get this behind me," Boosie told the judge Tuesday, after pleading guilty.
Sentencing is set for November 9th. After being released, Boosie will be on probation for two to five years.

It happened back in October 2008, when police found a bag of marijuana, a blunt, and a gun in a vehicle he was driving.

He was charged with third-offense possession of marijuana, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, which carries a mandatory minimum five-year term.

The firearm charge will be dropped after he completes his prison term and probation.

On September 21, 2009 Amy Winehouse thought it would be ok to take punishing a youngster into how own hands when word got back to her that her goddaughters was being bullied at school. Instead of taking the matter up with those officials in charge, it seems Amy stormed into Southgate school in Barnet, North London, to confront the kids concerned.

The altercation then turned nasty when the Back to Black singer reportedly began hurling abuse at the young accused bully and spitting at her.

And Amy's tirade did not stop there. Witnesses report the 26-year-old former drug addict then went on to shout at a group of students before the brawl was finally broken up by a concerned bystander.

Then what did Winehouse do? Sign some autographs for waiting fans, of course.
